Coolant loss/Overheating/Cylinder head...

Post by Cruiser » Tue Mar 30, 2010 2:52 pm

Hi
I have endured a very long and expensive saga trying to solve a seemingly common Bongo problem.
Coolant loss, overheating, kettling, followed by new thermostat, cylinder head, water pump, radiator, temp sender, etc etc.
I am trying to make contact with a Bongo owner in Birmingham who recently experienced similar problems and took Bongo to a repairer in the Wigan area.
I understand you eventually went to Ian Taylor UK in Shropshire who successfully solved your problem.
If you read this please respond as I wish to compare notes on our experiences for mutual benefit.
Cheers

The Wigan garage may well be Wheelquick, this one and Ian Taylor have very good reputations on here.

Hope you're sorted, and welcome to the Forum. :)

I have it on good authority that the garage in question is NOT Wheelquick. Just to be absolutely clear.

Thank you Ian. I would also like to confirm that the comments in my original post do not relate to Wheelquick as was (wrongly [-X ) implied by 'Bob' in his response!

With all due respect Cruiser, Bob was just trying to work out who in Wigan you might have been referring to. Your vague post did rather invite speculation. Ians comment should have cleared up any misunderstanding.

Hello Mike,
I would just lije to clarify that my post was made with the sole aim of making contact with a specific person.
It was vague because I had very limited information and was worded accordingly.
The speculation was not helpful.
I have now successfully made contact with the person I was seeking and would therefore request that members do not post any further responses.
