HELP: Grey or white primer for silent silver?

Post by mikeonb4c » Sun Apr 11, 2010 9:14 am

Just doing a small local tidy up and respray. I'm not sure if I should use grey primer or white primer underneath the silent silver topcoat. Does anyone happen to know? The Bongo shop seems to sell one primer (doesn't seem to say if its grey) for all topcoats except Chaste White (which uses white primer). I guess the implication is that its grey primer?

could you try it out on a sample first? Reckon Grey would give it more body?

I think the house bricks are nicely keyed ready to take the primer though - he'd better make sure he masks it off.

Suggest he starts with the security camera, so the wife can't see what he's up to

But, in fact I'd love to try doing a respray like that on a vehicle where you've nothing to lose. I wonder how good a job you could do just by masking off and without having to remove too many bits.

Hi
That worries me a lot....I now realise I should have sprayed my tyres to match, when I did the bumper....do you think anyone will notice that I didn't?????....
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
