Sounds like the cut off solenoid on the fuel pump is jamming open. Make sure connections are tight first, 24-3002 on here - http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... o=.html#20
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Check that it is not hanging loose on the threads.
Also - ignition on and disconnect the wire and see if you hear it clicking.
With engine running disconnect the solenoid wire and see if it shuts down.
If not, it is stuck open and needs replacing.

just cos you cant see a turbo timer doesnt mean there's not 1 tucked up behind a panel somewhere, i've seen literally hundreds of the starbo remote start type units with built in turbo timer, when you pull the key out and the engine runs on, try releasing the handbrake, as any properly installed timer will cut out as soon as the brake is released.

my bongo has a three way switch that says slow , off , long
i never knew what it was until i took the key out one day and the engine kept running :?:
i must have switched it on by mistake when cleaning it
its on some kind of timer, it beeps lightly and runs on for about five minutes at a guess ,
i still dont know what its for ,
came in handy during the winter for clearing the ice
:?: has yours got the same switch on the left of the steering wheel
