Doin my guage mod tomorrow, reading the fact sheet I may want to put fit 110 ohm resistor so normal running shows as fairly vertical just a psycological thing really (I'll try the 100 ohm first tho)
Cheers - J
I have done the temp gauge mod (very clear instructions I might add), now the reason I wanted to do it is so I can see when my V6 is running on the hotter side. I dont think I need an audible alarm just a temp gauge that moves when the temperature goes up or down.
Any how - with the 100 ohm resistor the gauge was close to max, expansion tank quite warm as well (about a needles width or two from the thin line) tried the 110 ohm (2 x 220 in parallel) and it was only slightly cooler on the gauge.
I suspect I am running a bit warm, any ideas on what to do next? Think I really guess i should be getting the coolant changed and a new stat (genuine as everyone suggests). The van was imported at the end of last year so I am not happy about not knowing what kind of coolant is being used anyway.
Still cant stop grinning every time we get to take Snoop out tho
Any ideas or experiences will be appreciated as usual (I know that a lot of you have probably written replies to hundreds of posts like this over the years but us newer owners, 4 weeks tomorrow for me!, really need your help)
Bongos are GREAT, bongofury is FAB, but you lot are bloomin MMMMAAAAZINNN
