leisure battery , have i got one?

Post by jutwit » Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:04 pm

hi guys, im wondering if i have a leisure battery in my freeda, it has some words on the top by the + terminal it says 100D31L, by the - it says HPL, and on the side it says DYNA-GRID GR2, and SHIN-KOBE DENKI, it also has a clear window at the top which shows the charge i believe, ive seen this on other leisure batterys and thats what make me think it is, how can i check whats connected to it? if it is one that is. will disconecting the other battery and see if anything works inside do it or does the other battery form some part of a circuit? i dont want to kill anything eletrical with my messing.

If its as it came from the factory with twin batteries Winter Pack, there will be a switch by the drivers right knee with a symbol of an engine on it.

it has got the winter pack fitted, but the batt on the passenger side looks like a leisure one to me, which may have been fitted by one of the previous owners.
