I've just broken something

Hi,

I've been trying to replace the glowplugs on my bongo, and i broke this trying to get access. is there a secret to this ?

what is it?
can i get a replacement?
can it be repaired?
do i need it :shock:

the engine still runs without it...

It's part of the EGR system. If you have blanked the EGR pipes off, then you don't need it as such. However, you may have introduced a leak in the vacuum system. IIRC, there was a thread on here recently mentioning a repair of this pipe using the body of a bic pen.

When you get the EGR blanking plates from Allan's, the instructions do mention this green valve as a very brittle thing, which is easy to break.
