Cab roof light

Post by helen&tony » Thu Apr 15, 2010 2:20 pm

Hi
O.K. what am I doing wrong...I am trying to remove the cab light, and tried sliding it over towards the side to unclip it, but my fingers are a bit dodgy these days, and I don't want to resort to "The Persuader"...also, I see the clear lens should unclip....again, no joy, and I do not wish to use "The Persuader" here , either.....He's O.K. at walloping things with a 4Lb hammer, but more delicate things crumble when he looks at them
Cheers

The first time i removed mine it was a bit stiff and took a little force, but I put pressure on the side forcing it slightly over to passenger side and pulled down.

To remove the clear lens you have to do this from the back of the unit, I used a precision screwdriver on the clear lugs underneath, just lever/push two of them and it will come free

Hi Scott
Thanks
I'll give "The Persuader" 1/2 hour step-by-step instruction, and let him loose on it....too much like a "broken finger-nails" job for me....
Cheers

The interior light is retained by a spring clip at each end. Remove interior light by sliding two cards (credit card size) under left and right hand edge to locate on the spring clips. Whilst pushing cards in, pull clock from centre and remove.

If you want to pm me your email address, I have a couple of pictures that might help.
