Hi All,
My Bongo is really lumpy on start up, especially so if I run on veg oil but also on diesel. Fine after 5 mins.
Would getting new glow plugs help? if so is this a large expense?
Thanks gang.

Are you waiting until the glowplug light goes out? wait another few seconds (should time out somewhere between 10 -15seconds after the light goes out) or turn it off & back again to give the plugs another blast. Sounds like it's the plugs, not a huge expense, go for decent ones (NGK) not cheapies - false economy, they can fail in very short time.
What % veg oil are you running?

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

3 years ago I had the same problem.
Still not replaced the glowplugs yet but that extra few seconds after the glowplug light goes out still makes all the difference.
Starts crisper & cleaner every time.

I do wait extra few seconds after the glow light to go off before I start it and when it's cold I do this twice. So I will get some new glow plugs.
Thanks gang
