white and black wires cut and taped behind front grill?

Hi all, I appear to have a 2 core cable with white and black wires that has been cut and consealed behind front grill. the lead looks like its heading down around the corner guide, though when i put a current through it the side light came on??? :shock: any ideas? and on the note of corner guide does anyone kow how to get this thing rewired to work? if i press the button i can hear the motor engauge but nothing happens and i dont have any light from the beacon?

any help much appreciated

the two wires maybe add on side light wires that have been removed,took the pos and neg from the sidelight!

i did an autopsy on my parking pole as like yours my one made all the noises but no light etc.
the motor you can hear rotates a drum containing the wire for the bulb,that is threaded up a plastic hollow tube which is strong enough to push up the mast but soft enough to curl round the drum,my pipe had brocken in about 4 places,so would not push up the mast,when coming down the wire still rotates around the drum and rips it from the bulb,
a brain surgeon would be handy,with them glasses too :shock:
