Auto Electricians in / near London

Hi

Can anyone recommend an auto electrician near London to sort out some leisure battery issues?

I bought by first bongo on the weekend. Only thing is the leisure battery doesnt seem to run any blinds, lights etc when its not connected to the electric hook up. The guy I got it from said it only ran the water pump but he wasnt sure as he always used the electric hook up.

Unfotunately Im not much of a sparkie so was thinking I could take it in to a motorhome/caravan electrical place and have them check it out and connect up anything as required.

Also the central locking isnt working at all, so have read on this forum that could be a sign of a flat leisure battery. how could I test that?

To be honest, it doesn't sound like you have a very useful installation for your leisure battery.
Rather than spend the money on an auto-electrician, I'd recommend that you look up the seller "willinton" on Ebay and contact him. He does a fantastic split-charge system for the Bongo, which includes all the wires to make your interior lights, blinds etc work from the leisure battery AND it's very easy to install - you really don't need to be a sparkie to do it Do a search for willinton on here - you'll find loads of praise for him and his products He doesn't always have them on Ebay, but will make one up if you contact him
As for checking the leisure battery, you can either use a volt/multi meter or buy a battery tester for less than a tenner - something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12V-BATTERY-ALTER ... 5887210f98

brilliant advice, Ill look into that. Perhaps I will take some pics of what I do have wiring wise and post them up this weekend as well.
