mason alarm and resister ????

Post by bobngo » Mon May 17, 2010 10:18 pm

i am about to fit a mason alarm, and since the dash will be "out" .i was wondering if i should also fit the 120 ohm resister as well, so it would be belt and bracers or would that mess everything up ???

I'm guessing it'll get a bit confused as you'll effectively be putting the resistor in parallel with the Mason I think. Why would you want to do both anyway, what benfit will it bring? the Mason does what it does, sensitises the gauge & provides a settable alarm, the resistor mod just sensitizes the gauge, Fit one or the other, but not both.

Agreed.

The resistor approach is an alternative to the Mason.

Can't fathom what the system would make of both . . . .
