hi, upon fitting my new cylinder head i have found the small injector washers dont seem to fit in the head as well as the old head. note:not the copper washers the small raised disc washer that seal at the front of the injector.
has anyone encountered this or fitted the injectors without these washers.
head change, injector washer question.

Re: head change, injector washer question.
ok i found out why the washers dont fit. there is a top hat shaped insert which is fitted in each injector hole of the old head. the new head doesn't have these fitted so i need to use the old ones. problem is i just spent 3 hours trying to get the old ones out and cant get them!!!!!
can anyone help with a supplier of these parts?????
cheers Derek.

Hi I think the parts you require are called Heat Shields, just make sure when you talk to the supplier.rita wrote:A wee bit nearer to you..http://www.mcalisterfuelinjection.co.uk ... vices.htmlrita wrote:Hi Derek, phoenixroxy wrote:ok i found out why the washers dont fit. there is a top hat shaped insert which is fitted in each injector hole of the old head. the new head doesn't have these fitted so i need to use the old ones. problem is i just spent 3 hours trying to get the old ones out and cant get them!!!!!

Re: head change, injector washer question.
thanks very much for the replies, i'll phone those places tommorrow.
i checked the diagrams on lush projects and can confirm that its heat shields that i need.
best replacing all relevant washers also.
i found a site called allmazda.net which supplies all these parts but i've never heard of them has anyone used them.
i googled the PN numbers off lush projects and got a link to that site
