Coolant tank cap
Having had the new rad fitted all seemed well but the bongo is still using water with no obvious apparent leaks, one thing I have just noticed though is both the rad and expansion tank have red caps which both say rad only 1.1. Now I am sure the expansion cap should be yellow, does it matter or am I wrong.

I think it makes no difference on the rad cap David but the expansion tank needs to be 1.1 bar

Dandywarhol:
Standard equipment seems to be a plain cap on the radiator and a pressure cap on the tank.
but judging by the number of bongos i've seen with pressure caps on both I'd say they are a common replacement job in Japan.

Re: Coolant tank cap
changed a red 1'1 cap last week,it was blowing off according to my pressure testing kit at 0'9
swapped to new 1'1 no water loss now.
found several of these red caps to be substandard,if this is leaking on your radiator you will not see a leak as it evaporates off.
