Post by umbongocat » Wed May 12, 2010 10:14 pm

Is anyone going to the Wychwood Festival. We've booked and plan to take our new bongo. Would be good to meet others with a bongo as we're new.

 I know exactly where your coming from, but I would never even contemplate paying to stick my Bongo in the campervan field with no electric for that money anyway, and especially when as I have done for the last 6 years you can just put it in the car park field for diddly squat and still go back to it whenever you want. It's a bit further to walk BUT I can do a lot of walking for £250 after all, that's my beer money \:D/
cheers! party on dudes.

We'll be there too :D

Are you intending to pitch an awning; can't see on the website whether it would be OK or not?

Cheers

It's our first time there with a van, but friends who have been going often pitch tents around the van. We're intending on pitching our 4.2 quecha tent and a friends 4 man who is camping with us. Think the trick is to get there as soon as it opens and be fair about the space you take up. I'm sure an awning is fine. The same rules and regs in campsites about pitching of tents close to each other never seem to apply when you go to festivals... not sure why... maybe they turn a blind eye as they know they would never get many in if they had to adhere to certain distances between tents :)
