Just seen this - never noticed it before. It has some sort of electrical block type thing behind the grille with wires attached.
Does anyone know what it is?

Yup, they all have it but I believe only the vehicles with climate control use it to control the cabin temp.

+1 ...... most cars with Air con have them "slots".... Citroen's do for sure.....
Obviously it's only used for Climate Control/Auto Aircon vehicles that would have a sensor but cheaper to fit the same dash to all models.....

I got one o those... Empty behind. Manual controls!
My partners (Correction fiancee's) Micra has climate control & a similar sort of sensor slot in a similar position. But 9 holes arranged in a square!
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

The vent is air con related. The sensor behind the vent is fitted on climate control models.

Thank you.

The one on the left is the TV tuner/av input for an in Kenwood car stereo with monitor, the one on the right I have no idea, although it does carry the genuine McLaren Group Logo
