Hi
Do we have to check tyre pressures often anyway?....I haven't checked mine for a couple of years or more...the nice man at the gas station tells me if the tyres look flat 8)
Cheers

I have reverted to steel wheels all round - No locking wheel nuts or fancy dust caps needed.

But the plastic wheel covers look,well, basic spec - - - -

A dob of copperslip should be on the wheel nuts as a matter of course, maybe that would help on the dustcaps too . . . .

lobb them before they cause u more grief than they r worth.
That's just how I feel about alloy wheels!

So when I read

I just had to agree!

Part of the problem is the bongo is not my main transport, it can sometimes be weeks before i actually use the bongo, and i don't always check the tyre pressure if its just a local trip, must have been quite a few weeks for me to not check the tyres and realise the caps were welded to the valves.
As for grease ,not recommended it attracts dust and dirt and could cause problems as well.
Just have to be more careful, but back to plastic dust caps for me from now on.
Lost without my Bongo.

Hi
I must say, I've had the problem with wheel nuts...we unwind them with an air wrench, and tighten by hand...and keep one of those extending wrenches in the vehicle.
Cheers
