No over familiar with this Bongo yet, still finding my way around it.
To familiarise yourself with the quirks of the Mazda Bongo Friendee I suggest that you look at a few of these videos that have been posted on You Tube.

That's not a Bongo water elbow, as the Bongo has 3 pipes not 2 on the water elbow.
You said:
Has anyone else had major problems bleeding there 2.5 WL Bongo?
The Ford Ranger water elbow has 3 pipes and fits a Bongo but it has a different water system. I wonder if you can get hold of a Bongo water elbow, then you could attach the bleed hose and bleed it.
Allans Garage retired. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth

Somewhere else, Mrdeano said his Bongo had an engine transplant before he acquired it. Mine was a head transplant, with no-one realising until it had been done, that the two heads have that one difference. Btw, it could also be from an MPV.

Hi
My worry about trying to fit a 3-way junction in there , is that once the old 2-way has more or less stuck itself in there, trying to remove it would snap it and leave some in the hole, necessitating removal of head to pull the old piece out. There are a number of silicon "T" reducer hoses on the market that could quite adequately fit on the2-way elbow to make it 3-way, with a bit of ingenuity
Cheers
Helen

Could you give me description of a silicon "T" reducer hoses on the market that could quite adequately fit on the2-way elbow to make it 3-way please Helen, as I think that will be the only way I will be able to properly bleed the system.
A photo would be good, you could email a pic if you like. I am just fed up with it right now. Ady gave me some instructions on how to bleed the thing through the heater which I did, but there is still a pocket of air that is not escaping.
And yep I have a what we call a courier or bounty motor/head in my Bongo Friendee. The Courier/Bounty same as your Ranger? abound over here in New Zealand. They are a really popular vehicle over hear, not to many Bongo Friendee’s as of yet.
Appreciate your help
Cheers

Seems like a good suggestion, now would anyone have a pic of where I put the reducer in to the plumbing?
Will admit the green stuff taste lingers in the moustache for a while, yuk! lol
Just out of interest, how muck coolant do these Bongo's hold, more than the usual that a MPV or courier motors I reckon

Hi
Sorry for the delay...We're on a different time to UK...plus I'm up at 5.00 AM to get the dogs walked a'fore it gets too hot.
This chap has all manner of hoses;
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Auto-Performan ... ses?_rdc=1
I've bought some of his reducer hoses, in order to try a cunning heater matrix stub repair, but I bought a new matrix instead and straight hose...pretty good quality, and I'm sure he does alloy T's . No worry about adding another metal into the coolant system...it already has several aluminium components.
Let me know whether you see anything you find useful on there!
Cheers
Helen
