Scavanger fan and central locking
Strange one... Unlocked Bongo, drivers side, the central locking didn't open the other doors. Turned engine on, flashing scavenger fan light (the orange coil). Coincidence? Or any ideas?

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
Check your fuses, top left or right, can't remember which, or it could be low battery.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
Have you got a leisure battery. If so, could be disconnected, or as Kirsty says low on charge.

All fuses checked none blown.
Disconnected leisure battery, no change. Very crusty white deposit on negative terminal (not sure if this is relevant or red herring).
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
white crusty bits ,if any, are normally on the positive terminal ,the +,
suggest you disconnect both terminals, (negative - first )
clean both terminals and connectors with emery paper
coat both terminals and connectors with vaselene
reconnect terminals to battery ,( positive +, first then negative- last)
note connecting/disconnecting terminals is always reversed when connecting /disconnecting ,

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
Cheers for the tip on how to disconnect battery...
Tried that. Cleaned it down and vaselined up. Fault still there.
Could it be the pre-heat sticking? If so how to fix that?
Thanks for all the help.

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
If CL isn't working, I'd check battery voltage? or supply fuses, especially if you've got a LB fitted?Sluggy wrote:I am having the exact same problem, started this morning, central locking not working and the coil light is flashing at me![]()

Re: Scavanger fan and central locking
sorted it
was just a wire from my willinton leisure battery kit, it had come loose from the no.1 fuse slot in the dash.
