Help Fitting Anti-Roll Bar Drop Links

Hi, Need some advice on fitting the front drop links on a 96 2WD 2.5TD, can't find any info at all. Any help much apprechiated

They are pretty straightforward. Undo the nuts on either end, remove. Refitting is the reverse of removal.

You can do them on the ground with the wheels off (on axle stands, of course) or from below using a pit/ramps.

Thanks Dave, do you or is anyone else aware if there are torque settings or is just a good tighten up enough ?

Hmm... There probably is. I've used the old 3 white knuckles torque wrench in the past.

One thing I noticed changing them on a friend's Bongo was that the old rattly ones had smaller threaded studs then the replacements. This meant that they would move in the fittings on the strut and ARB no matter how tight you did them up.

There has been a lot of discussion on here regarding the quality of various replacement ARB links - do a search and you will see what can be good and bad about these.

75-104 Nm.... and quality of drop links does vary.....a lot...in fact some I got recently will be winging their way back to the supplier....Not critical but disappointed in the quality and I would be changing them before the next MOT.....even though the rubber gaiter was as large and flexible as the Mazda O.E units....it is starting to perish already after 3 months on the Bongo... so it is not just the units but the ends and movement that counts too.....
