Radiator advice

Hi folks,

I need to get a new radiator, but I'm a little stumped by the selection available, ranging 99pound upto 250...

Now the 250 ones are obviously Mazda originals and the recommended part, but what is OE specification/quality?

There is this one available on fleabay for 149 which says it is OEm approved quality???? - with a lifetime guarantee??!! - here

or this one from JAS which is apparently the "recommended unit"

or here's the 99er... should I avoid at all costs??

Does anyone have good/bad experiences of the cheap ones or can anyone recommend one? (the original is out of the question - just tooo expensive!)

I'd feel better about that company if they'd checked their spelling.

I can recommend the JAS one..... it's O.E quality and build without the O.E price tag...... it's made by the suppliers to Mazda without the Mazda packaging.....

If you look on the thread below re radiator I have put a link to a company I got mine from, superb at £111.00 delivered with a two year warranty.

Ok, so had the JAS unit fitted yesterday by my mechanic I've been using for a few years, and also the large top engine hose replaced (the one under the drivers seat) which was starting to swell, cost me 120pound (whats wrong with this bloody pound sign!?) excluding the rad and hose which I sourced myself.

Need to keep checking the level but fingers crossed... I've got a working Freda again...

Somebody's messed with your keyboard settings.

Try seeing if it's set as US instead of UK

Make sure the oil cooler connections are screwed tightly into the borrom of the rad, my recently fitted JAS rad seems to have developed an ATF leak on the passy side joint, have to get the intercooler scoop off tomorrow to have a proper look.

Mine were loose when I got mine and as I noticed I nipped them both up prior to fitting.....
