Pam

(I did get flashbacks after seeing you were in Doolin, ex was Irish and we were camping there, went looking for some beer and the Main Street was quiet and deserted, a door opened and there was a huge noise, we had found the pub, which was like a Tardis, and was heaving. We also played the pitch and putt course, at closing time the 'greenkeeper' drove over the greens and collected the flags out of the car window!
Next day we went to Milltown Malby where there was a music festival, we got talking to this guy who was rather inebriated, his pal was blind drunk and falling asleep constantly, it turns out 'our man' was the designated driver - lets just say we got out of town quickly before he hit the road......they were a couple of bachelors on the pull, lets just say that they had dental issues.
And seeing Croagh Patrick, we got near the summit and for a laugh took our boots and socks off, when we got to the top we were treated as heros, and couldn't fess up for fear of being murdered, (or worse, prayed for!). What made it worse was that we had passed a guy near the summit who had been walking barefoot all the way, and he had turned back just before the summit!, to walk barefoot back down)

Which pub in Doolin was it ? Did you manage to get into the famous 'Gus O'Sullivans ; pub........very famous for its headline folk muscians/singers who have played there ? We went and had a good night...except for bl**dy noisy foreigners from across the channel who insisted on talking loudly when the musicians were on!!; took some pics....but they did not turn out well, so did not include them on the slideshow. Also, arn't the rocks/atlantic absolutely wonderful at Doolin; so dramatic. Aaaaargh....I'm missing it all. Beara Peninsula.....I've no words left for this utterly stunning paradise. A new friend.. Ron..also walked up Croagh Patrick ...in boots, and met a chap who was doing it barefoot every day for a week....it was his 6th day !!!
For those who do not understand whats going on here;
It is said that St Patrick spent 40 days on this mountain; hence Catholic [and others] do this walk in barefeet as a form of penance [many do not tho' as it can be dangerous as its made/consists of layers of slate !!!]
So....music....drunken people.....what about you then....sober ??? Just kidding.

Loved your memories crazy
