The 2 main clubs...... Caravan Club and the Camping & Caravanning Club have a great selection around the lakes.....
Look at their websites for more details.....it does pay to be a member though.....the rates are £7 a night cheaper for members and the facilities are second to none for cleanliness etc. - that is for both of the clubs

We had a great time here and the walk up Scafell Pike can be started from here.

high fell gate grange over sands. I stayed there 4 weeks ago ,it is only a short stroll to lots of pubs and shops but a quiet site with lovely views over the bay. There is a toilet block with shower and electric hook ups.Gas available on site.

High Fell Gate is a good site but can be a little exposed. Equidistant between Grange and Cartmel - bot5h over a mile away.
Low Fell Gate is more sheltered and nearer to Grange.
Meatop Fell CC site comes highly recommended but5 havn't used it myself.
'Wild' camping in permitted in the pub car park at the Pheasant at Allithwaite.
Pop into my shop 'Watchers' on Kents Bank Road, Grange on Saturday morning if you are about.
cheers
