Hi,
Can anyone give me an idea of the layout of the rear heating? I have a translated manual and there is nothing whatsoever in it about this part of the bongo. Currently the back of the bongo is stuck on hot air. After removing the panel I have found a thing that is meant to turn when the heat is adjusted, presumabley to control a valve, and this is completely snapped off.
I want to tackle this job myself as my local "bongo friendly" garage charged me for fixing this when I regassed the aircon, but did nothing. The problem is not knowing my way around this part of the bongo I don't know what parts to source for the repair. Any ideas?

Hi, the 'heavy hitters' with all the technical knowledge will be along soon, but to save them some time, do you have manual or digital airconditioning in your Bongo, and what year/engine size is it ? (And where are you?)

When asked about Western Civilisation, Ghandi said 'that would be a good idea'...

Re: Rear heating/aircon issues
I'm advised (on here!) that the rear (and front) heater radiator will be permanently hot as coolant always circulates through. Hot air is prevented from entering the car only by controlling airflow over the radiators, into the car etc. so you will need to identify the components doing that. The heavy hitters can advise on detail ha ha!thunderbird900 wrote:Hi,

Does this one help? http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html If you want part numbers click on the + symbol on the index on the left, any of the usual breakers, Bellhill, etc may be able to help or Ebygum32 on here who is breaking a bongo in th "breaking bongos section" but you'll have to pinpoint what you need.
