Thanks Kirsty. The guys who are going ot fix it have been by, and they agree with you i.e. the door plate, and another sticker on it, both seem to confirm that this is my Vehicle ID. So I think we'll go with that, and thanks again
Main problem now is how to sort a new wing without it taking yonks to get into country etc. Don't like driving a tatty Bongo about and holidays etc. coming up before too long

Interim - Have you spoken to ebygum yet?
I can pick it up at very short notice meet you half way . . . . . .
Wotcha Chris
Yup he's PM'd me and has a wing but needs to check condition after he gets back from London. BUT, it has been drilled for a side repeater unit and of course that may not be the same type or in the same position as the other one. And maybe I'm being fussy but I'd like my Bongo back like it was, including symmetrical. I phoned Adrian at Jap Motors in Bury and he said new ones weren't expensive (he thought £100 or so) and a bodywork specialist would probably prefer that as it is primed and all he has to do is spray it up, whereas a 2nd hand one (unless it is perfect) would have to be sanded down, undercoated and sprayed. Mind you, Mazda Warringotn reckoned a new one might take 3 weeks or so to get into UK and they haven't given me a price yet.
So I'm in a bit of a quandary as to what to do. Ebygum knows all this and understands (he said why not take the pair - not as daft as it sounds IF they have no rust, dents etc and so don't need respraying). How do you reckon I should play it?
It's superb of you (as usual) to offer to do a rendezvous. I'm OK collecting if need be though it all helps.
Decisions decisions - I never was any good at those
