Anyone know anything about Renault "D" coolant (green) as recomended to me by a garage in Wigan?

Type D is a Renault designation used since about 1993 to define the quality of the recommended coolant in its small cars. Renault calls classic coolants, such as Inugel 50: Type C. It's inadvisable to mix these two types of coolant the resulting mixture risks causing deposits/gelling and it may lose its anti-corrosive properties. in effect Renault D is a G12 type coolant
By all means use it in your Bongo after a decent flush........ but your restricted if you need to top up........
The best option is to use a G12+ type coolant like Texaco Red, Car Plan Premium red etc as they are easy to obtain from most motor factors/accessory shops.
G11 & G12 coolants do not mix...... G12+ will mix with the G11/12 coolants but you lose the long life element of the coolant............
