Timings out? Fuel not getting through? glow plugs not getting voltage? what's happening & not happening? Are you sure you've done everything right?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Does anyone live near Chelmsford that could lend a hand maybe
Re: Bongo will not start help
After changing my fuel pump seals, I had to prime the injection pump, if you have had the system disconnected it may need to be primed, I disconnected the pipe from the fuel tank and used an old syringe outer as a funnel to pour in diesel.
When asked about Western Civilisation, Ghandi said 'that would be a good idea'...

Hi
I disconnected the lines from the pump to the head, would these need to be primed? I did use the pump on the fuel filter after connecting the lines.

try getting somone to turn the engine over while you prime it at the same time. keep pumpin till it goes hard(oo'eer)....
diesels can be notoriosely difficult to start when the fuel lines been emptied..

Re: Bongo will not start help
Get a hand primer from your local motor parts dealer about £6. This is a rubber bulb with fittings to go in your fuel line, connect it to the return fuel line. That is the fuel pipe which takes surplus fuel back to the tank it is near the injection end of the pump. Pump away!!! If that don't work air is getting in somewhere.
If it does work you can leave the primer in line.

Re: Bongo will not start help
ok
everything is there fuel and glow plugs working so turn the engine over on full throttle and the engine felt like it would start but black smoke and diesel smell from the exhaust, is this just the cambelt needs adjusting

ken, you need to set the crank to TDC and then time up the cam and fuel pump to the marks.
