Bleeding a Mazda Bongo Ford Freda Video

Post by B*Witched Blingo » Sun Jul 18, 2010 3:10 pm

As some of you may be aware, during the National Bash 2010 a Demo was recorded on A Method of Bleeding a Bongo.

This film has now been uploaded to You Tube in three parts.

The demo is not meant to be the one and only method of Bleeding a Bongo. It has been produced purely to give you or your garage a view of one taking place. It was recorded without script and in realtime.

We found that people sometimes learn better from seeing it in action as well as having a written explanation of a bleed process.

Credits must go to

The Bleeding Bongo's Every Team

The Bongo Meister - Ian for his involvement in the project

Missfixit70 and Haydn Callow for Presenting

To Northern Bongolow for the use of his Bongo and behind camera actions.

To Snow_Kiter and Amie..x for being the backup crew and for feeding us.

The Forum Support

To the specialist garages that have provided support to the Forum with advise and suggestions freely

And to the many Forum Posters who have added valuable contributions to assist others.

So, here are the links for you to Bookmark (if you wish).

Bleeding a Mazda Bongo Part 1

Bleeding a Mazda Bongo Part 2

Bleeding a Mazda Bongo Part 3

All we ask is, that if these are useful to you, you simply share the link with others who may benefit.

A DVD with all the chapters could be made available if the need arises.

Well done Chell & all those that took part =D> =D> =D> it was well presented & well filmed.
I looked at it ealier & it's just as i remember when watching it~people like me need to see it actually done & not from books as you can follow the procedure step by step & get a better grasp of it.

When the time comes for me to change my coolant (later rather than sooner) i will be quite confident to tackle the job~once again well done everyone =D> =D> =D>

Just been watching it Chell, very interesting cause ive never seen it been done before, as you say can be useful to a garage not familiar with this procedure. Good to put faces to the names aswell :D

Well done to all involved =D>

Thanks Izzy

Yep, totally agree. Well done Chell and crew. =D>

Learned a few things on the way too. :P

Just need to get my head fully round what was said and what is actually happening inside.

Off to chop up an expansion tank. (just because I can)

Hi Ady
Can you have a look at the return pipe - the smaller one. At the end inside the tank, what can you see?
I know this pipe is reduced at the inner end, but is there anything else that looks ....er.....different?
Does it look like this?

Can you get a pic up?

Sorry Chell - got a bit off topic here
