hot handbrake!

Post by annie bongo! » Wed Jul 21, 2010 10:59 pm

I have noticed that the handbrake gets quite hot, today I left the car for an hour and when I got back the handbrake was still really hot. Sometimes there is no heat at all. Should I be worried? It happens in short or long journeys.
Also I notice a bit of a wheel shudder when accelerating through 60-65. Again should I get this checked out? Everything else is peachy though, love the machine!

Hot handbrake isn't too much to worry about, it is sat on top of the engine after all
Probably worth getting your wheels balanced properly & get the tracking checked while you're at it.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Annie you could PM Steviebongo and ask him to check it out for you. As Kirsty says it could turn out to be nothing mutch but better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks! Will take Ally back to dealer and get him to check the wheel balance.

I'll back up what has been said before about the handbrake...!

What you need to watch out for is the temperature of the ashtray....

I could mean yer cigarette hasn't been extinguished properly..!! #-o
