Re: Quantock NEW YEAR meet CONFIRMED
I went for a drive around Exmoor yesterday looking for a some potential routes for the new year meet.
These pics were from the coastal part and i've yet to come up with a inland moorland route, i have however found a good pub with a big carpark http://exmoorsandpiper.com/
A few things worth mentioning are that porlock hill is really steep so make sure your bongos are in good nick because if your engine is ever going to overheat it's going up there and the short uphill bit from lynmouth to lynton, there is a coastal toll road if you want to avoid porlock.
I'll put up more pics from the moorland section when i've driven it.

Stick me down as a definite for this one Dave if you haven't already
Initial thread here if anyone missed it - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 37&t=42220.
I'll bring Dorothy my washing machine drum brazier/BBQ/hypnotiser
, so assuming the weather permits we can have sumat to keep us warm if outside is an option, a Dave said on t'other thread if peeps could bring some logs to burn (preferably dry) it's be good, surprising how much wood you can get through in an evening. I suspect thermals & plenty of warm layers may be in order too
