Are all the facelifts fly by wire? or is there a date when it came in?

Do you mean electronic throttle control? Our December 2000 new shape V6 petrol is still cable controlled - thank goodnes, or adding cruise control would have cost a lot more.

mine's a new shape T/diesel and it's cable operated.which facelift have u seen with drive by wire?

i've seen it on some 99 models,problem with them isx you can have 2 cars of same year with completely different specs, so its not really a good indicator, think they had fully changed over by 2000

Heard from a couple of sources that the change over was around the vin number starting with 4, not sure how true/exact that is?

Sounds ok then this one is low 3 vin numbers and a June 99.

According to my Japanese sources, the change from Cable to Fly By Wire came in production from 11/99 onwards obviously for a few months afterwards both types will be available. Older ones 125HP newer 130HP.

Beginning of model code on the cable ones all KD all fly by wire KH.
