Replacement Radiator

Post by ford tinny » Sun Jul 25, 2010 5:59 pm

Hello, havn't been on for a while. Tinny has been behaving herself but now she is crying, leaking from the top of radiator at the plastic bit. My question is will the mazda b2500 radiator do the job or is it only Bongo/Freda radiator that will stop her crying!!!!
Thanks John

I just bought one from the mazdabongoshop.com for £157.50, which looks well-made and very very similar to the original Mazda radiator. The only difference that I can see is that the cap on it is red. Could it be made by the same company as the Mazda radiator? But maybe I'm just not looking closely enough to see the differences.

Not sure that the B2500 is the same, has it got the oil cooler in the bottom for the auto box?
There are plenty of options out there, I went for the JAS one - http://www.japautosolutions.com/acatalog/cooling.html - couldn't see any diffrence between it & the original TBH. If you get one with a vent pipe on the rad cap, make sure you block it off as it's not needed, venting is done at the header tank.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
