Hi all,
I am just about to go camping in France on Monday and I have 2 lights flashing on the dashboard. The charging light for the battery and the sediment radiator light both flashing at 1 second intervuals. I have just had a brand new battery fitted and checked connections are nice and tight.
Regarding the sediment light the hand book says empty the sediment water tank? Is this the normal radiator tank?
Any advice to where this might be or what I should do at the 11th hour wod be really appreciated.
Thanks
Tim

If both lights go on/off together then it could be the alternator that has a problem, however it normally sets both lights ON together rather than flashing.
What made you change the battery previously ?

Hi fidel21,
The sediment warning light has nothing to do with the cooling system radiator.
The MAIN function of this light among others is to indicate water in the FUEL FILTER.

Big thanks for your replies chaps. I managed to get my local garage to test it and sure enough it's the regulator. I now know why my Last battery got fried. I have it booked onto a local guy on catford who said he could fix it for me.
Fingers crossed.
Will report back to share with others

Ok just wanted to let you know I have had the alternator replaced at the cost of £140 and it's all running tickedyboo!
Another lesson learnt and if my mechanic has not pointed out the regulator was putting out 15.9 volts I would of set off for holiday and fried yet another battery or more maybe.
The sediment light seemed to be linked to the problem.
Phew!
