(see thread in Bongoing with Children...) and are off this weekend to our local bash - the Solway Festival, aka Solfest.It's a great little festival near Silloth in West Cumbria, somewhat out of the way for most people which makes it a bit of a gem. There's a main stage, the Drystyan stage which has more acoustic acts, a separate acoustic/jamming tent, a huge dance tent, a cabaret tent, and a large beer tent complete with stage, which is just the thing if it's raining (which it did, all weekend, last year...
). There's also a healing area and a kids' area, and lots of other bits besides, in atmosphere it's like a mini-Glastonbury but without the hype. Saturday is compulsory fancy dress, and EVERYONE is dressed up! 
James, Alabama 3 and the Magic Numbers are amongst the bands playing. There were a fair few Bongos amongst the campers last year. We'll be there in Ernie, who also now has his shades on, ie has had his windows tinted!
