yep 160km/h in my AFT, however, at that speed the doorframes are getting sucked open... loads of windnoise !! I could put my fingers in the gap created between the window frame and the van body!!
Interesting. Mine seems to do that when my husband is driving and I won't let him take my Bongo over 80mph  I thought I hadn't shut my door properly, but I had. Don't think I've heard this mentioned before.

I want to state for the record that it's only a RUMOUR that these bongo's (one black, one white, and a green bongo) travelled at such speeds, i, of course have travelled on the M58 occasionally, but never exceeded 69MPH.

Scratching my head I do seem to recall a song...

I heard that rumour too.

I wonder if Hotpot heard the same?

I love our Bongo and will never push her to far, she is like a trusty horse I will never flog . Anyway we have a VX220 that loves being whipped.

Big or small wind deflectors on the doors Timnz? I have the shallow type deflectors with no "door suck" at speed, yet my sister's Freda had the deep type deflectors with major "door suck" at similar speeds!

I doubt it, she was way too busy outbraking us to have heard anything! I mean    Yes, perhaps she too had heard that rumour of the bongo's travelling at reckless speeds. 8-[

Got the Bongo back now after a thirteen week off road episode. In the meantime I've been forced to drive either the 140mph MX6 or the 190mph Honda & to be honest, pootling about in the trusty 4WD beastie is quite a relaxing pleasure in comparison.

Driving on the limits of adrenaline is great for a while but getting back with my favourite stable mate is an almost forgotten joy.

All of a sudden 70 has become a limit, not a target. Probably won't last long though, normality will probably creep back in soon but in the meantime I'm luvvin the cruise. 8)

Forgot how much I missed it!
