Replacing brake light

Post by uk-ken » Sat Sep 04, 2010 1:00 pm

Before I start pulling at the rear light cluster I would like to know that I will noit be doing any damage! My near side brake light went today! I have removed the two visible skrews to the right hand side of the light cluster and it doesn't seem to want to come off!

Any help would be appreciated!

The cluster comes out sideways. So, if it's the nearside one, remove the 2 screws and give it a gentle bump from the right hand side (inside) which will push it towards the outside of the van. It will then fall off, held in place by the wiring (so catch it!)

Refitting is the reverse of removal. Line up the 2 clips, slide in from the left, bump, and put the screws in.
