You need to remove the centre console first then either seat can be lifted.

To remove the centre console, there are two plastic nuts to undo, one under the ashtray and one under the cubbybox/junk store.

You need the passenger side for the oil level, oil filter etc. Driver's side for the air filter, power steering fluid etc.

With a full side conversion you won't be able to lift the driver's seat far, but you should be able to plonk the seat on the steering wheel, giving you enough access for most things.

Don't feel that! Until they have been shown to you its not obvious!
There are lots of other little things, that once mentioned or found become obvious, so there are always plenty of questions being asked :)

Neither did I. Maybe we both read it on here at the same time

Oldboybob - I'll tell you what would make you feel even sillier .... coming on here in a few months time asking for solutions to problems caused by neglecting your levels and so forth because you had never lifted the seats and had never bothered to ask how to do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if at least half a dozen Bongos have just benefitted from their owners reading this post.

However basic the question, you will never be the only one who benefits from the answer.
