Back from the freebie Renault World Series at Silverstone, nowhere near as well attended by Bongo peeps but still a cracking event. After last year we decided against Whittlebury Park, their sanitation left rather a lot to be desired so we tried Litchlake Farm campsite instead, only a tenner for us and with proper flushing bogs, showers, bar and hot food.

Nearly as crowded as Whittlebury too, but right across the road from the main entrance

How to find your Bongo on a crowded campsite

Bulwell Bongoleers sporting a new day-tent

Muzette with this kind message to her brother, who had to stay at home to do his maths homework

Clios, stlightly faster than the ones you can buy from your friendly Renault dealer

Formula Renault 3.5, erm very quick....

....and some close racing...

None the worse for wear after having got lost and I had to collect her from the Police

Meganes, not the ones you can buy....

....well, not in this colour scheme anyway

An old Renault 5 with the silencer removed

The stunningly quick Caparo T1

Fernando Alonso’s F1 car from last year

Donuts anyone? .....

....no, I’ll have another ice cream

Research for the BritCar 24 hours in a fortnight, they’ve moved the grandstands on the pit straight and demolished the footbridge

Bored with watching Dad cook tea, for details see Bored with Butties “nearly live” phase 38a....

See, we’re not the only ones having Pot Noodles for tea

Muzette suddenly had an urge to become a hairdresser

Andy trying to identify a mystery guest.....

Mike Gough!

....silence – bliss

A perfect evening!

Oh, she eventually returned some time later with an icecream and a bottle of Fanta, oblivious of the worry she may have caused again
