Hi guys,
Thanks to a great Bongo Fury member I have eventually sourced a full size spare wheel, the tyre however would be best
suited on a F1 car, due to the lack of tread!
My dilema is....
My bongo has 215/65 R15 on the front and 195/70 on the rear, its a 2wd Diesel.
what size spare do you carry with this configuration?
It seems it would only be used in emergencies anyway ( on the wrong axle ) ie if I get a 195/70 and had a front
wheel puncture!
The tyres are all in good nick so I don't really want to replace either front or backs!
I have tried a search for the info, but seem to get bogged down in threads about 18" wheels etc.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,
Are you sure that ((Your bongo has 215/65 R15 on the front and 195/70 on the rear, its a 2wd Diesel.))
The normal is Front 195 and Rear 215,personally I would use 195 as a spare.
Cheers.

Re: Size of tyre on full size spare wheel??
Agree having matching tyres on the steering is much more important than on the back axle.rita wrote:Hi Peter,

Thanks... You are right, 215 rear 195 front.
Off to get a 195 tyre!

Mine came with 205s all round. It is an uncoverted tin top with one row of seats removed so is not as heavy as most.
currently I've got 215s on the rears and a 205 as spare as I agree that it might feel a bit odd on the steering otherwise.
If I get a rear puncture I only need to get home where I have another 215 waiting!
Gradually I will go back to 205 all round. It's a lot less complicated and worked well before.
