Mine is a 2.5 V6 & hills are no problem, it tows my caravan (950kg) up Telegraph hill (A380 Exeter) which is a 1 in 10 gradient & never drops below 50 mph. :D
I intend to live forever - so far, so good!

What's it like reversing ? Does it seem to 'stick' as if something holding back ? I don't know Bongos at all but what you describe and the reversing were symptomatic of viscous coupling and rear diff issues on another 4 wd vehicle I had .. v v expensive too :-(

mine was the same - had the manifols done - studs 1 and 8 gone

much much better now :)
