Hi folks - my ABS warning light has come on and I've booked the Bongo into the garage that have serviced it for the last few years. They specialise in Bongos so I'm confident they'll do their best, but they have said that they don't have the diagnostic software, and don't know anyone that does and so it's a case of "having a look" and it might be a long, and untlimately unsuccessful process.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Andrew

Re: ABS warning light
I dont know which year your bongo is but i believe older bongos(ours is a p)dont have any diagnostics.
you can visually inspect each lead(one at each wheel)for damage, then use a meter to test them for continuity and also if you spin each wheel in turn check for output.
some owners have found the lead(s) rubbing on a wheel if not secured properly.
your garage should find this very straight forward if you prefer not to do it your self.
there may also be other fixes but this is a good starting point.
good luck

Re: ABS warning light
Thanks Robdrinky, mine is a P too.
That's great advice, I'll mention it to them if they struggle to find a solution.
All the best

Re: ABS warning light
I had mine come on intermittently on long trips normally when loaded up, but I only noticed the problem when I was running a 205/65/15 tire instead of the 195/70/15 tire that you are supposed to run at the front..
I noticed that driving across grass or gravel the abs would kick in too early..

Re: ABS warning light
I had an intermittent ABS light problem when I was using LED brake light bulbs. Changed them back (because they were crap IMO) and the ABS light started behaving again....
Re: ABS warning light
You should be able to get diagnostic information from the main diagnostic connector. I can't see any details in my FSM but there are a number of sites on line, this one may help:

Re: ABS warning light
As madmile mentioned about the brake light.......... I had similar issue with the abs light staying on, checked all the sensors in the hubs, all conected and with no obviouse signs of damage but then I noticed the brake light bulb had gone (passenger side to be precise), so changed that there and then so I didnt forget, and the ABS light went off.
