Re: And This Months Problem Is . . . .
A week down the line & things are looking up for a change.
SWMBO is almost back to a state of normality although still obviously rather sore but did manage a brief (but rather gentle
) trip out on the back of the bike this afternoon & would like to thank all for the kind thoughts & messages.
Bongo has only got about 80 miles worth of short runs under the belt since surgery & seems to be running well & strong. The primary concern of fans kicking in early seems to have sorted itself, I've been letting excess air out of the expansion tank each morning & had to stick a couple of pints in today after checking the level. No signs of weeps or leaks so can only guess there was an airlock lurking somewhere. Hopefully any air in the system has made its way out now but will be keeping a very beady eye on it all the same.
I've put it in to local valeters this weekend for a proper top to toe spruce up. Hopefully a clean & shiney Bongo is a loyal & trusty steed.

Just caught up with your monthly saga, bongo bit was getting a bit boring (sod it what next). Really amazed at Liz launching herself down the stairs, what was she up to? practicing for that launch yourself off the end of the pier lark down south?
Really pleased to see that she is now on the mend and hope to see you all at Glencoe. Bongo permitting.

Re: And This Months Problem Is . . . .
Thought I'd wind this saga up so it can be finally archived.
After the head being replaced, new piston rings & exhaust, alternator, battery, 4 new tyres, front & back brake pads & the leaky aircon being fixed, I would've sworn two weeks ago that all was well & it was finally sorted.
Then the radiator gave up.
Thats now been replaced along with a genuine Mazda stat & I can - hand on heart - state that after 10 months of misery & financial strain . . . .
THE BEAST IS BACK!!!
Had a 200 mile day out today to a daymeet in Stoke & the old boy has performed superbly. I am one hell of a happy munkey.
Minor things to tweak now (cold start lumpiness & heater matrix) but the bus is now back in business.
Cheers for all the advice help & support from you lot.
Without you guys, most of the rest of us would be forced to drive ordinary things.
