water leak

Post by tay » Tue Oct 19, 2010 5:51 pm

hi all, after springing a leak thought i'd better have a look to see if i could find it.so ramps out engine undertray off and lo and behold there it is,the smaller hose of the two which comes out of the expansion down to the metal tree type thingy leaking like a good un. after a bit of a faff managed to get a hose which came yesterday. so last night back under van removed old hose....oh no its not the hose thats been leaking, the metal tree that the hose slips over has got a hole in it.does anyone out there know if this could be repaired, either brazed or welded.or could someone point me in the right direction so i can find a part number, looked on lush projects but cant seem to find it.in the meantime going to try some of the liquid metal stuff as a stopgap or it looks like going to the lincs bash in our little clio which could be fun four of us and camping gear as well! cheers guys tay.
