Valve Springs

Post by HiddenMission » Fri Oct 29, 2010 11:37 am

Hello folks,

I'm looking for some valve springs for my Freda 2.5 turbo diesel engine, and my mechanic is having trouble sourcing these through the normal channels, which seesm to include bongobits, etc. Does anyone know a good place where I could try to procure some springs (I need all 12). Grateful for any help, but please be advised that I am non-techie, and much as I enjoy talking about propellor shafts ( :? ) and the like, I really don't understand what a valve spring is, what it does, or what other things it might be connected to.

Thanks in anticipation...

Thanks - I think he either has, or anticipates being told that they would be a special order, and hence would be left waiting for weeks without any guarantee that they would materialise. Still an option, but thought I would try the network of unorthodox ad little travelled pathways that this forum so admirably presents.

Try phoning Bongobits in Plymouth or else one of the specialist garages on here (Allans in Plymouth, Ian Taylor, Discount trucks, Wheelquick, LPG Imports, 321away, AVA etc. etc.) who are very good and I'm sure would steer you right
