Rear Shock Absorbers

Hi All

Hope you all had a good halloween/bonfire night!

Just wondered if anyone has knowledge regarding rear shock absorbers

As it's possible we have one rear shock absorber that is starting to leak but no sign of suspension being affected at the moment - just wondered what the best thing was to do at this stage..

Should we:
1. Replace both rear shock absorbers with new parts
2. Replace the possible leaking shock absorber with new or used shock absorber - seen one used bongo shock absorber on bongobits for 30 quid...
3. Anyone know the best places to get decent shock absorbers at a decent price - i.e. cheapish! - which type should we get etc? We are a bit clueless!
4. Leave it for now because winter is coming - we're not using the van much at the moment (only moving it to keep it going really) and sort out in the spring?

i would replace with new and always in pairs, try local mazda dealer for a price,front ones were really well priced according to a recent thread.
leaking shockers will fail the mot,

Nope had a usual halloween/bonfire night...... basically a very upset dog... either by door knockers or by bangs and flashes with the latter....... anyway... back to the subject

1) This is the only way
2) always replace in pairs
3) Mazda or one of the well known suppliers for example
4) Personally....... I would get it done if funds allow, it will only worsen sitting there in the cold, plus there is also the uplift to 20% VAT
