jaylee or geoff are your chaps for the colours,but the switch is fairly straight forward.BEWARE OF THE FLYING BALLBEARING AND SMALL SPRING.usually the switch pivots wear or break,then its just clean all the contacts.

cheers ady
well have pulled the switch apart , seem's there is a small nylon peg snaped off on the unit (blue top) so thinking that's the problem,

I'm thinking the pots on the switch could be shot...!!?
Ave a look at this.. Could turn out to be a cheaper solution than a hundred odd for an original...?? http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... dow+switch

Re: colour codes for wiring to electric windows
well just checked the circut board and found a broken track so have solderd a wire across it,have fixed the broken pin by heating a paper clip up melting a hole tho nylon and then used an eye (from curtain wire) to tap a thred and screw it in just need to cut eye off the thing and should be ok,and work the slider,did look at the post you sugested what typ/year was the 626 switch you modded was it one with the 4 door switches ?

Make sure the door loom wires have no cracks where they bend before replacing the switch & turning on the ignition to test.. There may have been a short in the loom to cause the PCB to fry on your switch in that spot??steve alan wrote:well just checked the circut board and found a broken track so have solderd a wire across it,have fixed the broken pin by heating a paper clip up melting a hole tho nylon and then used an eye (from curtain wire) to tap a thred and screw it in just need to cut eye off the thing and should be ok,and work the slider,did look at the post you sugested what typ/year was the 626 switch you modded was it one with the 4 door switches ?

Mid 90's two door version.. The plate was different, but the original Bongo plate fitted the switch box... The rocker switch was wired up differently to push out 12v as opposed to the original which stops the passenger window operation through the driver switch. I used the 626 rocker to act as a panic button on my alarm, locking the vehicle & closing any opened windows on the cab!
I also fitted a closure module to fold the mirrors on locking.. They open when starting the vehicle.. http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... lit=mirror
& yes i did fry the PCB on the mirror switch in the experiment..

Re: colour codes for wiring to electric windows
Ohh sounds like a series of problems, anyway the colours you need are here, click the thumbnail below that's the diagram then click the little
to get the colour code page up, then its just a case of reading the letters inside the wire and converting to colours;
