Changing hoseclips to constant pressure

Got a set of constant pressure hose clips from Haydn, thanks mate, and was wondering if it would be possible to change my clips on the 4 big hoses without draining the coolant. What i mean is, undo the old clips completely and remove. Open up the new ones and wrap around the hose and redo.
Secondly i have never seen anything like these clips before. Do i just tighten them up as i would an ordinary one, leave a tiny bit of slack maybe? i don't know, would be a shame to fit them wrongly.

someone posted the same question a week ago and put up pics that may help you.
the reason i ask about which hoses is if standard ones are fitted its easier to see whats going on,if you have silicone it may be harder if they are spongey.
seem to recall 5nm was mentioned,or was that 5 lbft .
do a search mate.

HAHA, I got the 4 main ones on silicone. 5NM, i am using a nut runner not a torque wrench. Is there a torque wrench that goes that low?
Can i do it without having to remove the hoses?

I had the same query a few weeks ago when changing jubilee clips to Norma ones on silicone hoses. Initially thought to use 5NM, that seemed to be too tight (the spring in the clamp completely compressed). Found this http://www.norma.net.au/pdf/Norma_Wormd ... _Torro.pdf after a bit of searching, not sure if that is for the correct product but seems to suggest 3NM. That seemed a bit loose to me (and did not have a torque wrench that went that low), so in the end left it with the two clamps on each connection: jubilee clip torqued up to approx 5-7NM, Norma clamp behind it tightened without a torque wrench ensuring the spring did not completely compress. I did change the clips without draining the coolant but ensuring there was always one clip on the hose whilst putting another one. Bit fiddly but hopefully ok, I guess to be 100% sure the system would need to be bled again.
