Re: coolant colour
NO it should be either blue or red white is usually an indication of no antifreeze
have you done the dip ya finger in the header tank test??
when cold
dip finger in tank and taste finger if tastes sweet then antifreeze in if not no antifreeze

Re: coolant colour
mm- i def think there no anti freeze then
thats not good-I was going to take it back to the garage in the morning where they did the head gasket
Problem with that -- this morning- the cars were frozen-- i wont be able to drive it like that-- but i also ned it to be sorted asap
will it have damaged my van already???

Re: coolant colour
I didnt drive it- I take my car to work
I rang the garage to ask about the antifreeze and he said of course theres anti freeze init- but then when i said it was clear he said bring it in and i'll look at it.. i had the head gasket done in July
I planned on taking it in the morning- its only 5 min drive--
Should i still take it/ Is it ok to drive ???

Do you park somewhere sheltered, like against a wall??

Re: coolant colour
lift the bonnet in the morning and check inside the header tank to see if still water or ice and also do the hose squeeze test see if you can press the top and bottom hose failing that can you not get the garage to send someone out to your bongo with an antifreeze test kit to save any damage
if it gets frozen it could pop out a core plug or worse

Re: coolant colour
If the fluid in your header tank under the bonnet is frozen in the morning don't start it...
If there was no fluid under the bongo to-day you probably got away with it last night.
Also before you start it in the morning check you can squeeze the big hose under the drivers seat.
