Hold light flashes if accelerator "floored"
Very happy with my newly purchased Bongo ( 1997 2wd auto diesel ). Drives very nicely, and plenty of power in all gears, changes down to accelerate smoothly when pushed. However, noticed on test drive and subsequently that if accelerator is floored too hard the hold light will come on flashing and only clears when vehicle is brought to a stop / put back in neutral or park. No loss of power or other symptoms. Never happens when I am driving normally, so could easily forget about it. Is this normal, or could it be a sign of future problems that I should get checked out now ? Any advice or comments appreciated.
( Don't know fault code yet, but will get this next time it happens as per tech sheet instructions ).

first thing would be check fluid level in auto box
Re: Hold light flashes if accelerator "floored"
personally would adjust the throttle position sensor (TPS) and see if that changes it, as you say it only comes on when the pedal is pushed all the way down.

Great advice guys. Julian was spot on about the TPS. Marked position of TPS sensor, then loosened mounting screws, rotated slightly clockwise and re-fixed. Problem solved at zero cost ! Thanks for the advice.
