I have watched video on you tube about bleeding bongo but one thing i am not sure about, i have put coolant into header tank not the radiator will i be able to carry on bleeding the tank from that or will i need to start again

Just release the rad cap and if it overflows you are fine to start bleeding.
If it isn't full the coolant will drain from the header tank until the rad is full.
If it isn't full the coolant will drain from the header tank until the rad is full.
