Broken part need help diagnosing

Hi All,

I've (like a lot of people) got a sluggish Bongo she's had a new turbo and a new manifold (it was very baddly warped), i've checked all pipes and they all seemed to be attached and clear. This is where i need your help, one pipe was disconected from the air inlet (after the filter) to the engine (not sure what as i'm not mechanically minded with motors), whilst trying to re-fit it the small plastic part snapped so i've just got a standard pipe in its place at the moment. can you help identifie what it is and could this be the cause of my issues?

Any help would be great, i've read all the posts about sluggish turbos and checked all but the pump, and with the new turbo bills are starting to mount.

I think people have super glued it back together

That is just a fairly standard non-return valve. Suck on it to work out which way it was fitted, then get yourself to a scrap yard and have look round for something similar. Suck on that one to sork out which way it goes then fit it with some new hose from a motor factor. You can replace all the hose that has gone horrible and hard at the same time. You may find some has split at the ends.

Thanks for the info, i think i'll try to glue it back together.

The Bongo is back in the garage again so i'll update if they diagnose the lateness of the Turbo (3200rpm)

We broke ours but never new what it did . Used super glue then moulded a big lump of other glue padding around the pipe and body. Been ok since. Cant remember but think the other glue we used was silicon sealant type stuff.
